Legislation agency worker charged with forgery, theft of over $190K

A former workplace assistant at a Georgia regulation agency faces over 100 felony and misdemeanor prices for allegedly stealing greater than $190,000.
Nadine Brooks, 66, was employed on the Dozier Legislation Agency, a private damage agency with 4 places of work in Georgia, when the agency reported inner thefts to police in June 2025. An investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Workplace in Georgia traced greater than $190,000 of the agency’s cash to fraudulent funds of unauthorized bank cards belonging to Brooks between November 2020 and Could 2025, in line with coverage by Law360.
Brooks was charged with forgery and theft by conversion, in line with court records. She was arrested in July and was later granted launch on bond.
“There was no indication or allegation of any funds being stolen from any shopper, solely from the Dozier Legislation Agency’s funds,” stated David Dozier with the Dozier Legislation Agency.
Brooks is accused of stealing from the agency’s Macon, Georgia, location. Her authorized counsel declined to remark.
