Choose suspended after indictment over alleged perjury

A Texas decide has been suspended after being indicted on a third-degree felony cost of aggravated perjury.
The Sept. 21 grand jury indictment alleges that Choose Robert Jenkins Franklin, a justice of the peace for Rains County, Texas, knowingly made false statements below oath throughout a court docket listening to about youngster help, in keeping with a story from Law.com.
The alleged false statements have been associated to his involvement in property offers for the Franklin Household Belief and will have affected his youngster help obligations.
After reviewing the indictment, the Texas State Fee on Judicial Conduct determined that Franklin needs to be suspended with out pay as of Sept. 30.
Franklin didn’t reply to Regulation.com’s request for remark.
