Attorneys for the state of Arkansas requested the eighth U.S. Circuit Court docket of Appeals at St. Louis on Tuesday to reinstate a legislation requiring that the Ten Commandments be posted in public faculty lecture rooms.

The 2025 state legislation establishes that “a historic illustration of the Ten Commandments” be posted in public faculty lecture rooms and libraries if a poster or funds are donated for that objective.

The poster have to be at the very least 16 inches by 20 inches with textual content “legible to an individual with common imaginative and prescient” and positioned “in a conspicuous place,” based on a story by Courthouse News Service.
